The jury of the Research Awards of the Scientific Informatics Society of Spain (SCIE) - BBVA Foundation 2018, in its meeting on May 7, 2018 at the headquarters of the BBVA Foundation in Madrid, has decided to award one of the Prizes to Young Researchers on Computer Science to David Vilares Calvo, researcher at FASTPARSE group, for his outstanding contributions to the research in techniques and algorithms for natural language processing , with special emphasis on its application to the analysis of sentiment in social networks.
